Lori Loughlin could be home for the holidays.
It’s been reported that the Full House alum may be released from prison a few days early, just in time to reunite with her loved ones for Christmas.
On Friday (November 6), TMZ reported that Loughlin — who is currently serving a two-month prison sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California, for her involvement in the infamous college admissions scandal — will supposedly be released from prison on Sunday, December 27, according to the Bureau of Prisons. The celebrity gossip outlet indicates, however, that if an inmate’s release date falls on a weekend or legal holiday, they can be released on the last preceding weekday.
Felicity Huffman, who was also involved in the scam, served 11 days of her 14-day sentence at the same facility in 2019.
This means it’s quite likely Loughlin could be let go on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Additionally, the site notes that the actress may be granted an “early compassionate release” should her facility suffer an outbreak of COVID-19.
Even with an early release, though, Loughlin will still have two years of supervised release once she’s out from behind bars.
As fans know, the 56-year-old began her sentence on October 30. Her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, 57, was given a five-month sentence for his involvement in the scandal.
The couple pleaded guilty to charges involving paying $500,000 to bribe their daughter’s way into the University of Southern California.
Despite her short sentence, Loughlin has reportedly been a "wreck" and is "dreading" the rest of her time there.
