Jimin is the latest BTS member to release his own solo music. In a new video showing the making of the music video for one of his latest songs "Set Me Free Pt. 2," the singer opened up about his state of mind while writing the song.

"Set Me Free Pt.2 was created when I was feeling lost and depressed," Jimin revealed in the video, translated to English. "I was determined to overcome those feelings and this song conveys those emotions. I think I wanted to express that emotion in the choreography as well. So the choreography turned out to be very intense like this. But the people I'm working with are doing a great job. I am the only one I should be worried about."

Jimin then went on to reveal his strict diet regimen. "It's not easy keeping my weight within the 50kg range, but I'm kind of getting used to it now. Every night, I write down what I want to eat before going to bed," he shared. "Yesterday I wrote, Kalguksu, Daechang, and Ramyeon. I was craving something spicy. It's been so long since I've had Tteokbokki too. Kalguksu with kimchi sounds really amazing."

His debut solo album, FACE, will drop on Friday, March 24th. The album has been described as "Jimin facing himself head-on as he gets ready for his next step as a solo artist," according to a post from Weverse. The news comes amid BTS' hiatus as all seven members prepare to start their mandatory South Korean military service. Being the eldest member of the group, Jin officially started his service in December with the group's rapper J-Hope following. BTS has plans to reunite as a complete group in 2025 once every member has fulfilled their mandatory military service.
