Singer and songwriter Stephen Sanchez recently released his single "Baby Blue Bathing Suit" and it was inspired by the legendary band, The Beach Boys.

The upbeat tune was written for the soundtrack of the Disney+ documentary, The Beach Boys. "Getting to create this song for The Beach Boys documentary was so surreal. They're a band I've loved for years, and it's an honor to be a part of this project. This song is so much fun, and I hope everyone enjoys listening to it as much as I enjoyed working on it," Sanchez said about working on the project.

"Baby Blue Bathing Suit" is accompanied with a music video that perfectly depicts a world of love, surfing, and an endless summer. "It's truly an honor to be a part of this project and I have so much respect for the band and their musical legacy. Endless Summer was one of the first vinyls my Grandpa gave me as a kid. Recording the song was equally incredible," stated Sanchez.

Sanchez wrote the song alongside Dan Nigro and Amy Allen, all three of the songwriters had a special connection to The Beach Boys while writing "Baby Blue Bathing Suit."

"I would not be the songwriter I am today if it weren't for The Beach Boys. Being asked to write this song for the documentary is honestly a dream come true," Nigro said.

Allen said she was first inspired by The Beach Boys when she was eight years old. "The Beach Boys inspired me from the first time my dad put on the Pet Sounds CD in the car when I was 8 years old, and still inspire me today as I continue to learn from their chord progressions, intricate harmonies, and their timeless songwriting in general. The impact The Beach Boys have had on pop music is truly remarkable and unparalleled..."
