It’s wedding season and that means there are no shortage of stories about demanding brides and today’s episode comes from Reddit’s forums. Reddit user Mira11 shares the tale of his cousin’s wife getting revenge on her frenemy who ruined her wedding first. It all started at Emma’s wedding reception, where bridesmaid Sarah decided to announce her engagement. And everyone knows that’s just bad form!
The post explains that when bridesmaid Sarah made her big engagement announcement at the beginning of the party, bride Emma held it together and didn’t make a scene. Apparently, that’s because she had bigger plans for getting back at her spotlight stealer. Later, Sarah chose Emma to be her maid of honor at her nuptials and that’s when she got her revenge.
The story goes that Emma swapped out the white flower petals in the flower girls’ baskets with blue petals and never told the bride. Bride Sarah looked confused when she saw them, but blamed the wedding planner for the faux pas. At the reception, Emma was set to give her maid of honor speech in front of a screen showing photos of Sarah and her hubby and at the end, Emma tells Sarah she must be wondering about those blue petals. That’s when she announces that she’s five months pregnant and that it’s a boy,which is the reason for the blue flower petals. She even showed her ultrasound photo for the last slide!
Her baby announcement got a big reaction from the crowd, but as you can imagine, Sarah was upset and had Emma kicked out of the reception! Most commenters agree that both women were out of line and that “two wrongs don’t make a right.”Sure, but they can be pretty entertaining.
